Description

This is the last section of the Big River where it enters the Meramec. While there is a float operator at this location, Brookdale Farms does not advertise floats on the Big River, nor do they appear to offer access to their private launch area.

Motorized boats can visit this section via the put-in at Route 66 State Park, with the Big River entering on River Right approximately 3 miles upstream from the ramp.

Self-outfitting paddlers can launch at Byrnes Mill Park and take-out at Route 66 State Park, which is 3 miles downstream from the confluence with the Meramec.
