Description[edit | edit source]

Bluffs and close canyons make this a unique experience.

Highlights include Blue Spring (Jacks Fork), Jam Up Cave, Ebb & Flow Spring (Jacks Fork), and Blowing Spring

Gauge[edit | edit source]

Lower floatable limit: 75CFS
Recommended minimum: 100CFS
Unsafe: At 4ft / ~750CFS, this section of river will be closed.

This segment is still best represented by the Mountain View gauge, but you can add a little bonus flow because there are some springs and other water entering the river.

As a general rule for most Ozark streams, 100cfs should be enough water to avoid scraping or needing to walk. Some sections can be floated with as little as 65CFS, but this is only recommended for experienced paddlers that can identify the channel, and will still mean some walking.

Outfitters[edit | edit source]

Overnight floaters can outfit through Windy's or Harvey's, but day floaters may need to arrange for a private shuttle.
